10min Deep Breathing Exercise for Health and Wellbeing. Welding PART 2 OF 3

10min Deep Breathing Exercise for Health and Wellbeing. Welding PART 2 OF 3 Have you tried to do something in a way that someone told you was better? An activity or movement? Yes end up feeling silly or that you're worse off? Culture has us still believing in outdated concepts about the body and movement that think helps us improve. Like strengthening the ‘core’ to reduce back pain (releasing lower back pain series on this channel) or controlling breathing or stretching (see future workshops). Let’s look at how we can unlearn these old habits to create more options for ourselves that are more effective.

Stress is one time when our breathing is affected. Our body starts to call on other muscles to do the work. Like those around the neck, lats, lower back and into our hips. Problem is if we keep using these muscles it will eventually become a habit. Which means we get stiff and tight. Therefore our movement suffers. We start moving less efficiently our neck, shoulders and ability to rotate the spine becomes limited. Even our ability to think becomes limited.

There is no separation between emotions and physical composure. When we shift into relaxation our thoughts, the way we move and our stress levels change.

Let’s begin by exploring 3 short breathing lessons.

These introductory lessons cannot come close to experiencing a full hour-long lesson. All 3 of these lessons are available as soon as you sign into the "Change Your Life Membership" Along with 3 self-paced programs.
