MANILA, Philippines — A new medical center and administrative processing center worth P500 million will soon rise at the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) in Taguig City. Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police Gen. Oscar Albayalde and NCRPO director Police Maj. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar led the groundbreaking ceremony for the building at Camp Bagong Diwa on Tuesday. The four-storey building will cover 7,000 square meters of a vacant lot at the police camp and will provide “adequate, advanced, and accessible” health care services to NCRPO personnel and their dependents. It will have a breast center, neuro-psychiatric, medical, dental and administrative center for police officers and police applicants. “Aside from police applicants, our policemen who are already in the service will truly benefit from this program as they will now be properly taken cared of in the processing of their annual physical examination, promotion, and their daily, even immediate health concerns,” Albayalde said during his speech at the groundbreaking ceremony. “Hindi na kayo mahihirapan pang pumunta sa Camp Crame dahil maitatayo na dito mismo sa inyong lugar ang medical center,” he added. Construction for the building will start this July and is expected to be finished on December 2021. The project was first envisioned by Albayalde when he was still NCRPO director in 2017. According to NCRPO, the medical center was funded by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), Resorts World Foundation, the Travelers’ International Hotel Group and the Alliance Global Group.... source: www.inquirer.net
