Visakhapatnam: Police bust chain snatching brother duo, seize 1,142 grams of gold

Visakhapatnam police busted two chain snatchers on May 22. Yempada Chandrasekhar and Yempada Gopinath are brothers who are known to be involved in 51 cases of chain snatching in the Vizag area. Following a spike in chain snatching incidents, the police department had set up a special team led by Inspector of Police, M.Avataram. The team captured the chain snatching duo and seized 1,142 grams of gold jewellery and five bikes from them. City police commissioner Mahesh Chandra Ladda presented cash awards to the police for their efforts to nab the miscreants.
