Texas Gal Holds Restaurant Open Only to Hear Woman's Remark and She Can't Help but Speak Up

Texas Gal Holds Restaurant Open Only to Hear Woman's Remark and She Can't Help but Speak Up In today's world, many people are busy. They aren't willing to stop for a second to help out a stranger or do something kind. When a person is willing to perform a random act of kindness, it often means a great deal to the person that they were kind to. No matter how small the act, it does mean something. This is why it is so important to try to do something nice for someone every day.

Brooke Ochoa is a 30-year-old woman from Louise, Texas. This Texas gal politely holds restaurant door open only to hear woman's remark and speak up. Brooke was dining out alone one day, and she saw a woman coming into the restaurant behind her. Rather than going right inside, she stood for a few seconds to hold the door for an elderly woman that was on her way into the restaurant.

When Brooke was being seated, she heard the woman say that she wanted a table for one. Brooke didn't know the woman, but since she was going to be dining alone, she went over to the woman. She asked her if she wanted to join her for lunch. The woman immediately accepted.

Brooke and the woman sat down, and she learned that her name was Dolores. While the two women were enjoying their meal, Brooke found out that Dolores was having a tough time. She had been living with her mother and her aunt for the past ten years. Her mother recently passed away, and her aunt was put into a nursing home. Dolores told her that she was having a hard time to be alone. Brooke's heart went out to Dolores, and she was thrilled that she asked the woman to join her for lunch.

Brooke and Dolores had such a good time while having lunch that they agreed to have lunch together every other Thursday. Brooke knew that Dolores was lonely after losing her mother and her aunt. Since she had such a lovely lunch with her, Brooke thought that regular lunches would be fun.

Brooke and Dolores had lunch together a few times until one day, Dolores never showed up. Brooke found out that her friend had passed away. At first, she was devastated that she lost her friend so soon after the friendship began. She was just happy that she had lunch with Dolores the few times that she did before she passed away. She felt as though she made her friend's last few months happy ones.

When Brooke first met Dolores, she created a Facebook post, and she told her story about how she met Dolores. She wrote about their lunch together and about how they had planned regular lunch dates for the future. She was glad that she was able to have an impact on this woman's difficult life and she was happy that she made a new friend.

Brooke created her post for her Facebook friends to see. She never thought that it would end up going viral. Her post was shared close to 300,000 times. It received 2.2 million likes, and it was commented on 169,000 times. She never expected the post to get so much attention.

After Brooke found out about Dolores passing away, she updated her original Facebook post about her new friend. In the update, she wrote, "Dolores passed away not long after this post. I'm delighted that it still touches so many lives in such a positive way. Thank you for all your support and kind comments!"

When Brooke asked Dolores to sit down with her that day, she had no idea that this woman was struggling. She also had no idea that her days on Earth were numbered. She says that she wouldn't have changed what she did for anything. She takes solace in the fact that she was able to brighten up her friend's last days.
