New: Positional Play Colours Clearance Guidelines

New: Positional Play Colours Clearance Guidelines Enjoy this sample video from our brand new product – Nic Barrow’s Perfect Snooker Practice

Clear the colours with the classic positional play shots as shown.

The lines shown are the ideal potting angles to play for when clearing the colours. They keep the pot easy, but also give you a margin of error for the cue ball position. If you are struggling, or want to build up confidence, play only the blue, pink and black to start with. Although these are the highest value colours with a greater distance for the cue ball to travel, it is easier to control the cue ball as it has more margin for error compared to playing yellow, green and brown. It is a common misconception that you should play to be straight on the pink when clearing up – but this gives you no margin of error and if you go slightly below the pink the break can easily be at an end. Instead, play to land slightly high to help avoid the possibility of landing too low.
