On June 14, 2006, Grace Minor’s husband Mark, upset over their impending divorce, shot both of their boys as they slept, then shot and killed himself. Grace was downstairs at the time and ran to the boys’ side. 10-year-old Ryan was killed, 8-year-old Ross survived but was left blind. Grace found herself buried in deep grief and guilt, fighting to pull herself together to take care of her now blind child as a single parent. Now, Grace shares how she made it through the darkest times, with never before seen excerpts of a journal she kept after the shooting, showing in intimate detail the daily struggle she faced. And Ross tells us how he pushed through his deepest depression during high school, when turning to the internet helped him find his mission. He now educates others on what it means to be a blind person, in a social media channel with a growing fan base.
