Jelly Nail Techniques - Gel Polish vs Acrylic??

Hi Everybody

In this video, we welcome back Vicky from the Pretty Little Claws channel. She is a former student of mine and a great nail tech. Vicky is a lot of fun so make sure you check out the channel.

So in the first video with Vicky, we did this same glow in the dark Jelly nail look, but we added the luminous gel polish to the monomer so we ended up with coloured, translucent, glow in the dark acrylic.

This time I am going to do the normal, easier way of sculpting out clear gel acrylic nails and then mixing the luminous colours with the urban graffiti top coat.

This is easier for two reasons. firstly, you don't need a pot of monomer for each colour. secondly, when your client comes back, you can easily whizz off the design and start again with a clear layer for whatever design you want to do.

I am also going to bling these ones up with some of the naio nails crystal and the metal shapes, creating my own art deco look.
