Yvon Cuillerier is one of my most favourite fiddlers. One of my fiddle career highlights is playing at a jam session at Skip and Kimberley Holmes’ house in Carroll’s Corner, NS. Yvon was staying there, as was I, and Kimberley organized a jam session. All night long fiddlers came and went and the music was just out of this world. Yvon and I played for about 12 hours straight, from 5pm-5am, and if I remember correctly, I could still hear him after I’d gone to bed. What a beautiful memory.
